This is part of the 'Music as a Plastic Art' research project (Rick Nance, 2007, De Montfort University).
The music is constructed in the studio as a traditional acousmatic work. It is also meant to be used as an 'aural model' or auditory map/score for an instrumentalist.
The performer is asked to mimic the sounds as closely as possible and hears them via headphones.
The audience only hears the solo performer, not the model.
